Site Visits of OEC Executives to Follow up on Government Work at the First Cluster of Eastern Provinces

On 24th August 2020, the Secretary-General of the Education Council (Dr. Suphat Champatong) together with the Deputy Secretaries-General of the Education Council (Dr. Somsak Donprasit and Dr. Ausanee Thanosawan) took part in site visits to follow up on government work concerning the Ministry of Education (MOE). Attended by the Minister of Education (Mr. Nataphol Teepsuwan), the Deputy Ministers of Education (Dr. Khunying Kalaya Sophonpanich and Mrs. Kanokwan Wilawan), and MOE’s executives and officers, the site visits took place during the Mobile Cabinet Meeting 1/2020 at the 1st cluster of eastern provinces 1 (Chachengsao, Chonburi, and Rayong)    

During the Mobile Cabinet Meeting, the Minister of Education (Mr. Nataphol Teepsuwan) led the MOE executives and officers to conduct site visits to follow up on Government work. In this connection, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Education Council (Dr. Ausanee Thanosawan) participated in this activity. In the morning session, there were a meeting to follow up on government work regarding manpower production in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) and a site visit to see an exhibition on prototype of rail transit system at Chonburi Technical College in Chonburi Province. In the afternoon session, the Minister of Education and group visited IRPC Technology College in Rayong Province, meeting and sharing visions with college’s executives, opening Digital Living Library @ IRPCT, and taking a tour of buildings of the College.

The Deputy Minister of Education (Dr. Khunying Kalaya Sophonpanich) conducted a site visit to follow up on the performance of Chonburi Agriculture and Technology College. The Deputy Minister of Education visited the SMART FARM Project, followed the progress of the Project on Planting Trees for Green Space in Educational Institutions, and gave suggestions on agricultural area development under the Project on 1 Rai and 100 Thousand for better lives of agriculturists. Besides executives of other agencies under the MOE, the Secretary-General of the Education Council (Dr. Suphat Champatong) participated in this site visit. In the afternoon session, the Deputy Minister of Education conducted a site visit at Rayong Panyanukul School, following the work on Sufficiency Economy under the royal initiative of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, visiting Sunthorn Phu’s house (boy student dormitory 1), watching the demonstration of teaching students with intellectual disabilities at secondary level, visiting the classrooms of students with intellectual disabilities, and visiting an exhibition of the school and Rayong Special Education Centre.   

The Deputy Minister of Education (Mrs. Kanokwan Wilawan) led MOE executives and officers, including Dr. Somsak Donprasit, Deputy Secretary-General of the Education Council to conduct a site visit to follow government work. In the morning session, the Deputy Minister of Education and group followed up on performance of the Rayong Provincial Office of the Non-Formal and Informal Education and delivered policy to administrators, teachers, education personnel, and people concerned at the Phananikom Sub-District Non-Formal and Informal Centre, Nikompattana District, Rayong Province. In the afternoon session, the Deputy Minister of Education visited an exhibition, attended a meeting to follow up on the performance of private education provision and delivered policy to the administers, teachers, and students of private schools at Rayong Assumption School.
